5
This post may little bit out of the ‘theme’ in this blog, but I want to share something. I recently successful install Mac OS X Lion on my PC from Hackintosh iATKOS website.. Here is my computer spec..

- Intel Core i5 750 2.67GHz
- ASUS P7P55-M Motherboard (Intel P55 chipset)
- MSI NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 (1GB DDR3, 128-bit, OC Edition)
- Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200rpm + Seagate Barracuda LP 2TB 5900rpm HDD
- Lite-on 24X DVD Writer (SATA)
- Samsung SyncMaster 2243 LCD Monitor (21.5”, 50000:1, DVI)
- Logitech C200 Webcam
- VIA HD Audio (VT1708S, 7.1ch)
- Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller (LAN, onboard)

- CSR USB Bluetooth Adapter
- OS installed: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, Windows 8 64-Bit, Ubuntu 12.04

These hardware works perfectly in Mac OS X Lion except the wireless adapter (spoil!)..

*No longer used.. (But I install Mac with these hardware)

P/S: Sorry about the image was stretched. I have no idea what the problem is. If you cannot see it properly, click on the image to enlarge it.
Feel free to leave your comment below if you experience any problem regarding this article or have any question about the installation.

First step:
I downloaded the Mac OS X Lion Image from this website:
http://iatkos.blogspot.com/2011/11/download-iatkos-l2-not-torrent.html
Note: Do remember, this image is ONLY work on most Intel-Based Computer. Other? Try first.. If ok, tell me! hehe..

Yes, I downloded the image from Mediafire because the download speed is fast compare to torrent (My ISP is bad, they throttle the torrent speed). I’m using Internet Download Manager to download it every part (yeah, it is quite annoying they need to split in 20 parts because free account Mediafire only allows 200MB per file) and I make Queues in scheduler, so I just add the download link into the queues and it will do the rest of the job.

If you find difficulties downloading from the link provided, try search Google for ‘iATKOS L2’ and search for torrent type.

Second Step:
You will need a software called TransMac to burn or copy the disk image into usb.
http://www.acutesystems.com/tmac/tmsetup.exe (15 days trial)
Note: the USB bootable may not work on some computer (mine also do not work). So, the best way is burn into DVD-R or ReWritable disc. (I’m burn the image  into DVD-RW, because it saves my money.. hehe.. also ofcos I’m also copy the image into my 8GB USB Flash using the software..).

Method 1 (Using TransMac)
Open TransMac, File –> Open Disk Image
p1
Select your extracted DMG image file ‘iATKOS_L2.dmg’
p2
Then, right-click the open disk image and click Burn to CD/DVD
p3
Select your DVD drive and click Burn! Then wait..
p4

Another is how to copy into USB Flash..

Right-click your USB Flash, Format Disk –> Format with Disk Image..
p5
Then select the extracted DMG Image file location. It will do the rest.

REMEMBER! Backup your file first in the drive because it will reformat the entire disk! I warning you.. hehe

Other method? Search Google to find how to make bootable USB Flash.. I have search entire Google (Maybe) and I doesn’t found any workable method.. Some say to use Mac Disk Utility to restore the image into your USB Flash drive.. and some of them prefer using usbit (Search Google for it!) to make the disk bootable.. I tried all these step and the best way for me is using TransMac to burn the image into DVD..

Next Step:
What is the next step?? haha.. If you want to keep your Windows installed in your computer, follow the next step or you will lose your precious file and Windows.. If you plan to use another harddisk, skip this step..

(Windows 7/Vista) First, go to Start –> Computer (right-click) –> Manage
p6
REMEMBER: For the safety precaution, backup your important file first!

Go to Disk Management, select your harddrive (e.g Disk 0), right-click on the partition you want to split, and click Shrink Volume..
p7
Enter how much you want to split for the new partition (mine I give 50000) and click Shrink..
p8
Then, right-click your new extended partition and click New Simple Volume..
p9

Don’t format it, just leave it blank.. (Do remember, please RENAME every partition in Windows before installing Mac because you will get confuse which one to format during the Mac installation..)
After complete.. Get ready to install Mac! Now restart your computer..

Step 4:
Put your burned DVD and go to the boot menu to boot from CD on the boot screen.. (Some computer may press F12, F9 or F8 (mine is F8) or you may enter BIOS menu to change the boot order..)
If you have copy the Mac image into USB Flash, you may choose that first to try it whether it is bootable or not. If not, start from DVD..

The following is the screenshot from VMware.. it may little bit different..

If you have copy the image into USB flash.. choose the USB Flash to make it install faster..

For most computer, normal boot into Mac will cause the “PCI Configuration Begin” problem.. So to fix this, enter this command before enter.. (The best way is use this command for any computer)

-v npci=0x2000

and press enter to start boot.. It will work.. Just wait for the bla bla bla to finish..
Windows 8 Developer Preview-2012-01-04-18-21-27
The welcome screen will come out.. just proceed and wait for a moment..

Before you click Continue, you need to reformat the new partition you created in Windows..

Although I have problem with my TP-LINK TL-WN821N v2 USB Wireless Adapter, but the rest driver work fine in my Mac OS X.. To use the Internet inside Mac, I had installed VMware Fusion 4 running with Windows 7 Professional.. Another word is, I've install virtual machine inside Mac OS X.. If you want to experience MORE with your Mac, try to download and install iLife in your Mac.. You’ll definitely having exciting experience like you are using Mac. My computer doesn’t have any problem or lagging while using Mac, it runs smoothly on my Core i5 and even I can update the Mac into latest software.

That’s all.. Hope you enjoy it!
